Letter from our IDF soldier: Oksana Karimov (Summer 2018)
Posted on July 19, 2018
Dear Donors at Zionist House and RJCF,
It was a few months since my last letter to you, the time has gone really fast for me. First of all, I can say that I passed all my exams successfully in the first semester of the year, and this is my last semester.
Unfortunately next year I will have to do a final work in one of the subjects of the title. With each successful semester, I realize that more and more every time how vital the support I get through IMPACT is for me.
At the “ALEH” program in which I take part as part of the IMPACT scholarship, I'm helping an older woman with visual impairments in day to day activities such as handling bills and trips. In the past few months I have been opening her entourage to collect porcelain plates and hang them on the wall, and every chance I go out with her to look for the same plates.
I sincerely hope that you and your families are doing well, and that you have a good year to date. Thank you very much for your support! It is so hard to describe in words the appreciation I have for people like you who are willing to help in this way.
Have a fun summer.
Sincerely yours,
Oksana Karimov
Attached is a picture of me on Passover on Mount Carmel near Haifa, a really nice area at this time of the year, where everything is still green and the weather pleasant for walks.
