Boston-Ariel Teens Video Bridge
Posted on March 15, 2018
RJCF youth gathered in RSM Newton/Dance Fever Studio and participated in a live video communication with their Israeli counterparts to learn about each other and to address various questions about their Jewish identity and antisemitism. The teens discussed how antisemitism personally affects them, their reactions to the anti-Israel narratives on school and college campuses, their thoughts on the Israel-Palestine conflict and opinions on intermarriage.
The bridge Boston - Ariel 2017 supported by grant from RJCF with the moderator Inessa Rifkin and youth from Camp RSM Sunapee and Ariel Youth Theater/Video Studio.
The following questions were discussed during the bridge:
* How has antisemitism personally affected you?
* Where have you found antisemitism culturally (social media, film, television)
* Where have you found institutionalized antisemitism? (public transport, schools, federal)
* Does antisemitism exist in your society? How, if it exists, can you fight it?
* Can and should all Jews gather in Israel?
* What are your reactions to the pro-Arab propaganda in Universities? (antisemitism on campuses)
* What are your thoughts on the Israeli-Palestine conflict?
* What are your thoughts on marriages between Jews and people of other faiths (intermarriage)?
