Support the Summer Camp 2010 for the children of Sderot
Posted on March 18, 2010

Our previous camps for the children of Sderot were very successful. Not only were children given a brief respite from Kassam fire, they took part in nature trips, math and English clubs, and learned about Jewish traditions.

You were there to make the difference in the past...it's time to act once again.

Make your donation!

In the summer of 2009, Russian Jews pulled together a community wide effort to give 60 children from Sderot, a break from the tragic realities of living life in Sderot, and what was started just a few summers ago for the became a tradition that our community has held strong to.

Last year, thirteen dedicated people from Boston were a part of the Children of Sderot Summer Camp project, including counselors, counselors-in-training, as well as adult volunteers. Because of our partnership with the IDF, last year three Russian-speaking IDF soldiers worked in out camp.

Most importantly, over the last year we have transformed a local project into a nation-wide effort, with donations and assistance coming from New York, Miami, San Diego, and more.

This year, once again, 70 children from Sderot will go to camp away from Kassam fire. They will be hiking, learning, swimming, and striking new friendships. As always, counselors from our community will travel to Israel to work with the children and to support our people and our land.

Please, let's do our share and contribute to the Children of Sderot Summer Camp.

$360 will pay for ONE CHILD'S STAY IN A CAMP FOR ONE WEEK
$720 will pay for ONE CHILD'S STAY IN A CAMP FOR TWO WEEKS

(Please do not get discouraged by big numbers, ANY and ALL donations are greatly appreciated)
