Thank You, Our Donors - We did it!
With your help, RJCF was able to purchase Magen David Adom Ambulance that will operate and help victims of violent attacks in Sderot, Israel. Your donation ensures that the people of Sderot will have Magen David Adom Ambulance, blood-services, units of blood and blood components, needed to save lives, whether it's the lives of civilians or IDF soldiers protecting Israel.
On September 26, 2019, RJCF held a Dedication Ceremony attended by nearly 100 of our donors to celebrate this achievement and to send the ambulance on its way to serve the people of Israel.
In addition to our donors, the celebration was joined by representatives of American Friends of Magen David Adom, Mark Sokoll, President of JCC, Rabbi Marc Baker, President of CJP, Ruthanne Fuller, Mayor of Newton, Ruth Balser, State Representative and Daniel Agranov, Deputy Consul General of Israel in Boston.
American Friends of Magen David Adom (AFMDA) was able to share the RJCF ambulance with some of Boston Jewish Community Day Schools. Over 250 children had the opportunity to see the MDA Ambulance, climb inside the vehicle and learn about the life saving work of Magen David Adom. Students from the Maimonides Early Childhood Center, Elementary and Middle Schools and K-1 grades at The Rashi School. Students learned that AFMDA raises funds every year to donate 100 ambulances to the people of Israel and how the MDA is grateful to the Russian Jewish Community who are helping to save lives in Israel.
No gift has more impact on Israelis when it's a matter of life or death.
We want to recognize The Zionist House for being a long term supporter of RJCF and a major donor to the Ambulance Project.
Over 250 families donated $100,000 for the Ambulance.
