Dear Friends:
We are pleased to invite non-profit organizations that serve the Russian Jewish community to apply for a grant from the Russian
Jewish Community Foundation (RJCF).
You may apply for up to $3,000.
If you submit an application, please make sure that someone from your organization is appointed as a contact person and
you provided all contact information in your application.
The RJCF provides a unique funding opportunity for groups and organizations in our rich
and vibrant Russian Jewish community in Massachusetts.
We are proud that Russian-speaking Jews have a strong presence in this area. Our fundamental
belief and a commitment to our community inspired us to adopt a bold mission
to preserve and enhance the Jewish identity
among Russian Jews, to build a stronger community, to support the needs of the
diverse Russian Jewish population and to support the people of Israel.
Please read the enclosed
guidelines carefully.
We especially call your attention to our mission: your application must describe
how your program will support its realization. We are particularly interested in supporting collaborative
programs. The committee will give preference to applications that strengthen
Russian Jewish community by bringing two or more organizations or groups of
people together, particularly if these groups do not often interact. Applications
will also be judged by the extent to which an organization is “grassroots”; how
innovative the program is; the relative need of the population that the program
serves; and the quality of the program budget.
All repeat applicants should provide full accounting for money granted to that applicant last year.
RJCF will award grants in the range between $500 and $3,000, priority will be given to
proposals that have well defined success criteria and are directed to projects
that would have significant positive impact on the life of the Russian Jewish
community with measurable results in 2013. Special attention will be
given to proposals focusing on spreading Jewish education and strengthening the
Jewish identify in accordance with RJCF mission.
RJCF accepts grant applications only via e-mail. Please download the Grant Application form 2012-2013 from
RJCF.com web site, fill it in and send completed application to
g r a n t s @ R J C F . c o m. Applications must be received by October 15, 2012.
We will not accept applications that exceed the length limits for each section of the
application. Directions for submitting your application are on the front of the application form. We will announce grant awards in January 2013; checks will go out in January 2013.
